It’s funny how in times of trouble and hardship, God feels so far away and yet so close at the same time. It’s easy to ask that eternal question; why to bad things happen to good people? My only answer is that it is a sin cursed world. Besides, if noting bad happened to good people, all the good people would be successful, healthy, and loved and we know that’s just not the way the world works. So where is God in hardship and pain? I think He’s in the little things. He’s in humility and random acts of kindness and thankfulness for things you once took for granted. In a world of pain, suffering and hardship, all we can do is accept, trust and be thankful. Accept the way of things, trust that God has a plan and that it’s the best plan, and be thankful for what He was given.
